Platform Overview

Enterprise PCS delivers Convergence 2.0 through the industry's first Enterprise Cellular platform.

Available in 16 geographic markets throughout the United States, Enterprise PCS provides enterprises high-quality licensed cellular services with carrier-class interconnectivity, secure access and PBX integration. And through our partnership with Sprint Nextel, enterprise cellular users have nationwide access to one of the most reliable networks available.

What Makes Enterprise PCS Unique?

Enterprise PCS leverages new technologies, such as picocell sites and a state-of-the-art service delivery platform, to deliver enterprise cellular services in an entirely new way. Traditional cellular networks are required to build massive, connected regions of coverage to serve both consumers and enterprises, requiring nationwide tower infrastructure and carefully planned allocation of radio frequency spectrum. Enterprise PCS delivers custom-designed islands of wireless coverage to enterprise campus and building locations, enabling cost-savings, control, and security never before available. At the same time, enterprises seamlessly leverage the broader wide area network.

How Enterprise PCS Enterprise Cellular and Business Cellular Works.

The Enterprise PCS Enterprise Cellular service is built upon the most advanced switching and call control architecture available today. This offers enterprises a level of integration, cost-savings, and security never before possible with traditional cellular providers.

Enterprise Cellular and Business Cellular feature functionality operates under two scenarios:

Within the enterprise - Integrated with the Enterprise PBX
Outside the enterprise - Nationwide coverage on the Sprint Nextel network

Within the Enterprise

To provide Enterprise Cellular service within a local enterprise coverage area, a low-profile picocell (base station and antenna) is installed at a central location within a building or campus environment. For extended coverage, the picocell antenna can be fitted with a distributed antenna system. This ensures the broadest range of coverage for users while in the coverage area. Each site is managed and maintained by Enterprise PCS, ensuring carrier-grade reliability and availability. Occasionally, more than one picocell will be installed when geographical or architectural obstacles inhibit coverage to all required areas.

Free On Net Calling

When a user enters the local-enterprise coverage area, their Enterprise PCS registered cellular device is immediately recognized by the Enterprise Cellular system. Calls to any other Enterprise PCS registered device within the local coverage area, whether cellular or landline, are treated as extension-to-extension calls, similar to internal calls on a standard PBX. Unlike most cellular providers, Enterprise PCS does not bill individual or pooled cellular minutes when a user makes calls to other Enterprise PCS registered devices within the local coverage area. These calls are simply billed as part of a monthly plan. In addition, all Enterprise Cellular devices, whether in a single location or in multiple locations will also be treated as extension-to-extension calls. These extension-to-extension calls are on-net and are free of per minute charges.

Simply Works Like a Phone

Enterprise PCS Enterprise Cellular phones provide features enterprise end users expect in a phone: local numbers, caller name, caller id, call waiting, 3-way calling, directory assistance, 911, voicemail and SMS text messaging.

Outside the Enterprise

When users leave the local enterprise coverage area, cellular devices seamlessly register with Enterprise PCS's nationwide roaming partner, Sprint Nextel, providing high quality calls, nationwide coverage, and international roaming. Outside of the enterprise coverage areas, users are effectively customers and subscribers of the roaming partner, utilizing their features and services nationwide.

Users enter and leave the local enterprise coverage area using the same device, making Enterprise PCS Enterprise Cellular system a compelling alternative to traditional cellular for a wide-range of industry verticals: from healthcare to auto dealerships, manufacturing to higher education.
